Federal Income Tax Filing Deadline Extended to July 15

After extending the federal income tax payment deadline to July 15th earlier in the week, the Trump administration has now additionally moved the federal income tax filing deadline from April 15 to July 15 for all businesses and individuals.

The IRS is working to provide additional information regarding the new tax filing extension, and the Ways and Means Committee website is helpful confirming what was stated by Secretary Mnuchin earlier in the day, but given the way this issue has developed over the course of the past week, we are still anticipating the release of official guidance and will keep you updated as we know more.
