Trailblazers in Accounting: The Doty Group Welcomes New Shareholders

Dear Valued Clients and Community, 

We are excited to announce additional shareholders added to the executive team at  The Doty Group. Paul Doty, as the Principal Shareholder continues to play an active role in the Company, but he is now joined by Jennifer McQuilkin as the Managing Shareholder, along with Shelley Drury, Katy Bardizian, and Michelle Goforth as Shareholders. We have an amazing leadership team! 

In addition to the leadership changes, it is important to note that Paul Doty, our long-standing Managing Shareholder, is still the owner of The Doty Group, and will continue to be an integral part of our team. While he has shifted his focus to a new role, he remains committed to providing excellent service to our clients and supporting the firm's success. The Doty Group is grateful for his continued contributions and looks forward to his ongoing involvement in our organization. 

Paul Doty, CPA, MS (Tax), has been a Managing Partner at The Doty Group for over 40 years, providing exceptional tax planning and consulting services for closely held businesses. Paul has a deep connection with the community, having served as the Past Treasurer of Lakewood Gardens and the Past President of Downtown Tacoma Rotary #8. He has been actively involved with the Tacoma Estate Planning Council, the American Institute of CPAs, and the Washington Society of CPAs. We thank Paul for his remarkable contribution to the firm and the community. 

Jenn McQuilkin, CPA, MS (Tax) is the new Managing Shareholder and the Director of Tax Services. Jenn has been with The Doty Group, P.S. since 2005 and has extensive experience in federal taxation for closely held businesses and high-net-worth individuals. She is also a member of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) South Sound Chapter. 

Shelley Drury, CPA, CVA, ABV, CFF, Shareholder, and the Director of Business Valuation and Litigation Support Services is a highly experienced CPA with over 25 years of experience valuing small businesses and professional practices for various purposes. Shelley is also a national seminar speaker, providing insight and training to other valuation professionals and continuing legal education (CLE) courses to attorneys. She is accredited in Business Valuation (ABV), Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF), and a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA). 

Katy Bardizian, CPA, Shareholder, and Director of the Accounting Services department, serves as a CFO-like advisor to clients. Katy has a bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an Emphasis in Accounting from the University of Montana, and a Masters in Accounting (Magna Cum Laude) from the same institution. Her team provides general accounting support in all functions, and they have assisted clients with PPP and Employee Retention Credit support. 

Michelle Goforth, CPA, Shareholder, and Director of the Audit and Assurance Services department has been with The Doty Group, P.S., for over 20 years. Michelle has worked with privately held businesses in various industries and provides services in financial statement audits, reviews, compilations, as well as employee benefit plan audits. Michelle is a dedicated professional who enjoys working with new staff members to mentor and coach them to succeed in their careers.
