Courthouse Square Chronicles: Celebrating Women Lawyers with Tacoma's New and Young Professionals Group
Last week, The Doty Group joined the Tacoma Pierce County Bar Association's New and Young Professionals group at the historic old courthouse building in Courthouse Square. They had turned this historic building into a vibrant Speakeasy. This unique theme added an element of intrigue and allure to the event, creating an atmosphere that merged the past with the present.
The old courthouse, steeped in history and adorned with weathered grandeur, was the perfect backdrop for this clandestine gathering. This iconic location is where the Medicine Creek Treaty was signed on December 26th, 1854. The building's timeless charm, with its grand architecture and weathered facade, immersed us in the echoes of the past.
Amidst the Speakeasy ambiance, our purpose remained steadfast - supporting and uplifting emerging Women Lawyers in Washington State. This unconventional setting added a touch of excitement and charm to the evening, fostering an environment of celebration.
The Tacoma Pierce County Bar Association's Speakeasy-themed event at the old courthouse building was a testament to the resilience of the legal community and its commitment to fostering an inclusive environment. It united the charm of the past with the aspirations of the present, all while honoring the journey of women lawyers and their ongoing pursuit of justice.
